Backgrounds to the Gospel According  to Mark

The Roman occupation of Judea posed serious political, social and religious problems for the People of Abraham.  These problems are evident in The Gospel According to Mark.  Five political groups are mentioned in the text, each as if the reader of Mark is fully aware of what each of these political/religious groups represent.
